E-Cigarette Battery Problems? 3 Tips to Boost Performance

best-performance-ecigarette-batteryRemember the days when everything ran on AA, C, and D batteries? You’d replace the batteries in your device (which normally required up to 6 to run); and then within a day, your device would be drained of all power and you’d need to replace the batteries again.

It was expensive, created a lot of waste and was, frankly, really annoying!

Battery technology has sure come a long way since then. Most devices now come with rechargeable long-lasting lithium-ion polymer batteries, so you don’t need to continue buying new batteries just to use your device.

Lithium-ion polymer batteries are among the longest lasting batteries available and are used by the majority of electronics companies today – including Green Smoke® E-Cigarettes.

These batteries are long lasting in terms of the following: the length of time they will power your device on a single charge, and  the number of charges you’ll get from the battery.

That being said, there are a number of things you can do to ensure that you get optimal battery life from your batteries. Here are 3 tips to get the best performance from your battery:

  1. Use the battery regularly: Lithium-ion batteries are designed for devices that are used everyday. That’s why they power phones and electronic cigarettes. The more you use them, the more the power flows in the cells , which keeps the battery in proper working order.
  2. Take care of your battery: This should be a given. Keep it away from heat. Don’t let it get wet. And protect the battery from impact. If you want to ensure  long battery life, don’t test the limits of your e-cigarette just because it’s solidly built.
  3. Charge the battery before it’s fully drained: When you start to feel the battery’s pull getting a little weak, switch to a backup. You will significantly increase the battery’s life by charging it before it’s fully drained. Think of it like a train. It’s much easier to increase the speed of a slow moving train than to get a stationary train moving. Same with the battery – it uses much less energy when there is a little power left than when there’s no power left when you charge it.

We could go on with a list of other battery tips (don’t store it with less than a 50% charge, unscrew the cartridge when you won’t be using the battery for a while, and unscrew it when it’s done charging). But the 3 tips mentioned above will go a long way in keeping your battery in great shape so you can enjoy vaping for a long time.

If for whatever reason your Green Smoke® battery does stop working properly, we offer a Limited Lifetime Warranty and will gladly replace it free of charge.
