E Cigs 101: Test Your E-Cig Vocabulary

Analog – The name for regular (tobacco) cigarettes

Atomizer (Atty) – The atomizer is the part of electronic cigarette that vaporizes the liquid solution

Battery (Batt) – The device that powers electronic cigarettes

Cartomizer – A cartridge and atomizer all in one piece.  Comes in a variety of flavors.

Cartridge (Cart) – The part of the e-cigarette that contains the mouthpiece and the reservoir with the solution to be vaporized.

E-Cig – An abbreviation for electronic cigarette

ECA – Acronym for the Electronic Cigarette Association

ECF – Acronym which stands for E-Cigarette-Forum

Mod – Short for a modified e cigarette

Modder – Someone who makes changes or modification to an e-cig

Nicotine – Substance found naturally in tobacco and plants of the nightshade family. Most widely used in cigarettes.

No-Nic – An electronic cigarette without any nicotine content

Personal Vaporizer – Another name for an electronic cigarette

PG – Propylene Glycol

Propylene Glycol – A colorless, odorless liquid which is used in electronic cigarettes. Used as an additive in foods and also used in fog machines.

PV – Short form of Personal Vaporizer

RtV – Acronym meaning – Right To Vape. Movement defending the rights of e-cigarette users.

Vaper – A person who uses an electronic cigarette

Vaping – Using an electronic cigarette

Vapor – The smoke emitted from an e-cig

VF – Acronym for Vapers Forum
