Pittsburgh Steelers Ben Roethlisberger has always been a great quarterback with great potential. However, Roethlisberger has had his ups and downs, his distractions, during his career, and some would say that those distractions have held him back from really taking his place in the elite class of NFL quarterbacks.
It really is strange to say that. How can one even suggest that a quarterback like Pittsburgh Steelers Ben Roethlisberger, who has placed himself at #8 of quarterbacks in NFL passer rating, he has the 4th highest winning percentage, 12th in completed passes, among other statistics, and perhaps most of all he already has 2 Super Bowl rings on his hand (and he got the first as the youngest quarterback to win a Super Bowl in NFL history), is not an elite quarterback? How is it possible? Everything about him says he is one of the elite quarterbacks, yet people give him less credit than that.
Pittsburgh Steelers Ben Roethlisberger was a star athlete early on, well before he was a Steeler. Roethlisberger was a star in various sports in high school. Then in college when he was finally turned into a quarterback, he went on to conquer every passing record in his school, and many in his conference.
After 3 years playing football in college, Roethlisberger entered the NFL draft. Since he joined the NFL, playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Roethlisberger has never had a losing season, has won two Super Bowls, along with his great stats (some of which I mentioned above), and now has brought his team – despite predictions saying they would not make it this far – to another Super Bowl, with a serious chance to win another ring. That, my friends, is an elite quarterback. No matter what other distractions he has had, Roethlisberger has always bounced back, made smart choices, worked hard to succeed, and has come through.
